So I have been messing about with this (new? is it new? or am I just late to the party again?) drawing program; Mischief. It’s a vector program that behaves a bit like a raster program or it could be the other way around, I’m not sure. It is an interesting way to draw/paint, though takes a little getting used to, particularly the whole ‘line size is relative to zoom’ thing. Ideally, you need a graphics tablet of some sort and not much else really, the program is fairly basic; a small file size to dl and install and it doesn't eat up too much of your resources. It does get a little laggy at times with the zooming if you've built up a lot of layers (like I tend to) but the brushes work very similar photoshop or painter and some of the more artistic vector brushes in illustrator. You can get a 15 day free trial here: Mischief Free Trial. Apologies for the sub-par painting; I am rusty and it is past 2:30am. :/ |
