I'd never had the guts to actually etch copper before this so I was surprised by how easy it is and the results were much better than anticipated! This is for a uni assignment, my concept is based around Brain-Computer Interfaces and the ethics involved in it's applications and the implications on humanity and the future. The etching is of a neuron axon terminal; the part that connects to other nerve cells or effector cells. The markings on the surface are representative of a circuit board. I am currently in the process of cutting it from the base plate which is taking far longer than the actual designing and etching put together; those little tendrils (dendrites) are quite fragile... and sharp! One of my friends called it "very Tron like" and that totally made my day. :p | |
